Wirral Council are looking at car, cycle and other vehicle parking facilities across the borough to see what is working, what isn’t and what needs to be changed to provide better facilities now and for the future.
To do this, we want to know what Wirral residents think about parking – including current facilities and what you would like to see – so that we can ensure residents needs are fully considered as part of the shaping of the future of Wirral's communities and local centres.
We will also be carrying out some studies to collect information and data about the use and availability of current facilities so that any changes that we make can benefit more people.
The review of parking facilities will look at:
Cycle parking
Electric vehicle charging and parking bays
Disabled parking provision
On-street and Off-street (car park) parking
Enforcement and management of parking
Future development of parking
Parking tariffs
All the feedback provided as part of this survey, will then help to create a Parking Strategy which, once developed, aims to:
Help support businesses and communities across the borough
Manage traffic (particularly through main centres)
Improve current car parking facilities
Ensure the right type of parking is in the right place for residents and local people
Improve access to and the ability to use more sustainable modes of transport
To help shape this strategy, tell us about your travel experiences, thoughts and needs by taking part in the survey below.
An 'Easy Read' version of the survey is available in the 'Documents' section.
Please note a further phase of consultation will take place to support the strategy development at a later date.
