Birkenhead Market

Wirral Growth Company – a 50:50 joint venture between Wirral Council and nationwide placemaker, Muse – is inviting people to share their views on their emerging design ideas for the new Birkenhead market.

The proposals being put forward would see the former House of Fraser building demolished and the creation of a standalone market, complete with independent retail, food and beverage stalls and new accessible public realm spaces linked into St Werburgh’s Square and Oliver Street East.

Wirral Growth Company are holding two consultation events to collect your thoughts on the plans. This will help to shape the final proposals ahead of the submission of a planning application in a few months’ time.

The two events will take place at:

BirkenEd’s Place, 8-10 Borough Pavement (next to Holland and Barrett), Grange Precinct

Thursday 9 March 11am-4.30pm

Saturday 11 March 11am-4pm

The online survey has now closed.
