Wirral’s Children’s Services provide a wide range of services focussed on breaking the cycle of poor outcomes and encouraging and enabling families to bring up children in safe, happy, and secure environments.
Although there is a legal duty to provide some of these services, others are discretionary. However, we do recognise the importance of these services, and what they mean to our communities.
Providing this service is not a statutory responsibility. However, we do recognise the importance of these services, and what they mean to our communities.
Due to national factors that are largely beyond our control, including rapidly rising inflation and energy costs and increasing demand for services it is not possible to provide the maximum level of frontline services within the current budget.
These proposals could look to find savings through reducing the current Youth Provision service offer.
