The trial has already provided the council and its partners with important information on how we can start accepting more items in the grey bin recycling collections and help meet government requirements for ‘Simpler Recycling’. However, this trial was just an example of one of the ways that we could start collecting these materials. Your feedback is important to help us decide if this is a system that could be used.
Any plastic bags and wrapping that you’ve put into blue bags and into your recycling bin as part of this trial, are being processed by a company called Plastecowood and made into benches.
