Seacombe River Corridor Masterplan

The consultation has now closed, thank you for your contributions. A consultation report will be published in due course.

Wirral Council wants to set out a clear vision for revitalising the Seacombe River Corridor area over the next 15 years.

To achieve this we need your help to tell us what you want to see in your neighbourhood.

The aim is to create a sustainable vision of how we can improve the area, which includes part of Seacombe and just into Liscard ward. The River Corridor area is shown on a map in the Documents section on this page. This vision – the masterplan – will then guide how areas of land are best used in the future. It will show what development is needed, and where. The masterplan will also include issues such as preservation and the environment.

So far, we have been working with students from The Oldershaw School and Riverside Primary School. These young people have been imagining their vision of Seacombe using 3D modelling and drawing. Photos of the school events and some of the students work can be viewed on this page, just click on a photo to view the images.

Two immersive virtual reality experiences were hosted on the 14 and 15 of October in the Floral Pavilion, New Brighton. Visitors viewed virtual reality (VR) technology to experience how Seacombe could develop with the help of customised 3D modelling based on ideas by local young people.

With this first phase of public consultation, it is vital that we find out about your Seacombe. We need to collect your views on the important issues that this masterplan should address. To provide your ideas an online survey is available below. An easy read version is available in the Documents section of this site and paper copies can be provided on request.
