Wirral Council are continuing to progress work to look at car, cycle and other vehicle parking facilities across the borough to see what is working, what isn’t and what needs to be changed to provide better facilities now and for the future.
The aim of this work will be to create a Parking Strategy which, once developed, aims to:
Help support businesses and communities across the borough
Manage traffic (particularly through main centres)
Improve current parking facilities
Ensure the right type of parking is in the right place for residents and local people
Improve access to and the ability to use more sustainable modes of transport
A Phase 1 consultation sought to receive feedback from Wirral residents and stakeholders to understand people's travel experiences, thoughts and needs regarding parking throughout the borough. During the first phase, we received some excellent feedback, from which we have developed proposals on how we can better manage parking in the borough going forward. The reports from the first phase of engagement can be found in the documents section.
This second phase of engagement will focus on your opinion regarding the parking management methods that the council can employ to better achieve the desired outcomes as highlighted in phase 1.
To help shape this strategy, please complete the survey below. This survey is open for contributions until midnight on Monday 25 September.
